Nicki Dechert Carlson is married with three children and lives in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. She enjoys playing tennis and pickleball, following University of Texas at Austin sports, participating in and teaching women’s Bible studies, and trying to keep her vegetable and flower gardens alive.

I believe God, our creator, is always at work in and around us, pursuing us with His perfect love. I believe there's no better way to understand His character than to look at the life and sacrifice of His Son, Jesus. Because of this, I want to strive to live more like Jesus every day.
