Nicki Dechert Carlson is married with three children and lives in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. She enjoys playing tennis and pickleball, following University of Texas at Austin sports, participating in women’s Bible studies, and trying to keep her vegetable and flower gardens alive.

I believe God, our creator, is always at work in and around us, pursuing us with His perfect love. I believe there's no better way to understand His character than to look at the life and sacrifice of His Son, Jesus. Because of this, I want to strive to live more like Jesus every day.

"I want to help women deepen their relationships with our creator, God, and Savior, Jesus, by highlighting God's activity and purposes in our everyday lives and experiences." Carlson writes devotional books, leads Bible studies, and speaks to women's ministries and other groups in meeting, retreat, and study settings.
